Agbu Kefas, Taraba state governor, announced the formation of a new committee to streamline the operations of various boards, parastatals and agencies in the state. The committee, which was inaugurated on the 5th of September, 2023, is part of the governor’s plans to reposition the government for pro-people governance.
According to the governor’s Facebook post, the committee is expected to review the functions, structures and performances of the existing boards, parastatals and agencies in the state and make recommendations on how to improve their efficiency and effectiveness.

This morning, I inaugurated the Committee for streamlining Boards, Parastatals and Agencies in Taraba State. This is in tune with our plans, to reposition the Government for pro-people governance.

Agbu Kefas said that this would help to reduce wastage, duplication and corruption in the public sector and enhance service delivery to the people.

The governor also expressed his confidence in the members of the committee, who he said were carefully selected based on their competence, integrity and experience.
He urged them to discharge their duties with diligence, honesty and patriotism. He also thanked the people of Taraba state for their support and cooperation and assured them that his administration would continue to work hard to fulfill its promises and improve their welfare.
